If you would’ve told me 20 years ago that God was going to save my family and I and call us to serve Jesus in the area of Pastor/Evangelist, I would’ve thought you were out of your mind. Michelle and I met in High School in Irvington NJ in 1996. I was a Junior and she was a Sophomore. Of course she thought I was the most handsome guy she ever saw and fell in love immediately her eyes met mine. Well, not really. But we did begin dating right away. We were both so broken. We were young, immature, and selfish. Well, I was really the selfish one. After dating for a few years our relationship completely shifted when I decided to follow Jesus. While attending College at Montclair State University, I was invited to a Bible Study. At the Bible study I invited Jesus to come into my heart and life. I immediately shared it with Michelle and our relationship came to a pivotal point. Do we go on in an unequally yoked relationship or do I wait for her to come to Jesus herself? I am so glad that she came to Jesus. God’s plans are bigger and better than our plans. He quickly called us to serve our church as youth pastors. God redeemed our relationship. I asked her to marry me soon after, and I watched God work all things out for our good and for His glory. After serving within youth ministry for 7 years, the Lord opened the door for us to serve the same church we got saved in as lead pastors. We were so blessed to serve in this way. While pastoring in the inner-city with 5 kids, we witnessed God’s favor and provision in EVERY WAY. The relationships that were built became family. The outreaches that took place were focused on Jesus and driven by the Holy Spirit working through people. It was more than just a church. It was home. So when the Lord called us to this role of Evangelists, we knew that it will cost us big time. We were leaving everything we knew, to go to a place that was NEW. Many questions, and few answers. We had to take a step of FAITH. Since transitioning, we have not skipped a beat. Ministry continues to grow and we continue to impact lives for the gospel. God is opening up more and more doors for us. We now have an extended family, that extends all around the world. Every place we go into becomes an extension of the work that God has called us to. We are just two kids from the inner-cities who simply said, “YES to Jesus.” We believe that the best is yet to come. We would love to connect with you and your church. Churches are asking more and more for us to come and minister during marriage seminars and retreats. Please keep us in your prayers. The Lord is so good.
