When the Gospel is Preached...
“And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”Mark 16:17-18
Jesus Himself commissioned us to “Go into all the World” and to do one thing, and that is to PREACH THE GOSPEL. There is power in the Gospel already. We don’t need to add anything to it or take anything away from it. I experienced it firsthand this morning again, during a chapel service at the University of Valley Forge. The service was really simple. A few songs of worship that led right into the preaching of the Word. We concluded with a special time around the altars. It’s amazing what happens when we preach the gospel and give the Holy Spirit time to move on hearts. It was a special time. I am praying that this ministry that the Lord has entrusted us with will continue to remain focused on preaching the gospel and to leave room for the Holy Spirit to work. When we do this, God promises to move on our behalf. It’s all about Jesus anyway.
